“a native wildflower seed sowing initiative throughout Los Angeles County by artist Fritz Haeg.
Fifty highly visible sites are sown in fall 2013 to bloom in spring 2014, culminating in a public exhibition and event in early summer. The project is presented by LAND (Los Angeles Nomadic Division) in partnership with the Theodore Payne Foundation.”Wildflowers include:

Clarkia unguiculata (Elegant Clarkia)
Eschscholzia californica (California Poppy)
Gilia capitata (Globe Gilia)
Layia platyglossa (Tidy Tips)

Kirk suggested contacting you here re swarms….. i have one hive (about 18months old ) with lots of drone brood and failing queen. He suggested getting hold of a swarm, cutting out drone brood and dumping swarm in. Any help in that area would be greatly appreciated. I’m in Mt. Washington, 90065. -
