Torrance Legalization Update

Torrance City Council voted 5-2 tonight to go forward with an ordinance to allow beekeeping for single family residences. Staff will come back at a future date with an ordinance and council will have final vote. We made it over the major hurdle, it is pretty much a done deal now. They voted to use the current draft ordinance as a starting point and add some mods. I’ll see if I can dig up the draft ordinance and mail out to folks by the weekend.

Thanks to all for all your efforts over the last 2.5 years, in the future we will be able to keep bees legally in Torrance.
