Tagged: How to move hive?, Rookie, used trays
No experience, but have been trying to catch a swarm for a couple years. Now I have 2 in bee boxes, but not where I want them. I need to move them 100 to 500 yards to better locations. It also seems the bee swarm is building comb on the plywood on the inside top of the box. It is not a hive top, just a piece of plywood. I left a gap for them to enter and now I am unsure how to get them to use the trays? Do I need new trays? I am using some old trays and boxes I have from my long gone Grandfather. I have read it is not a good idea to catch a swarm if you are a rookie. Guess I have the cart before the horse. Any resources out there. Lots to learn. Any links or sage advise helpful.
