    Hi,
I have a great yard for bees. A small creek flows much of the year (very small), but I and my next-door neighbor both have fountains. Lots of trees (all sorts of fruit and the biggest eucalyptus you’ve ever seen) and native plants, open hillside just across the way.
We’ve hosted a few hives for the last four years, but our beekeeper has moved to northern california.
We are in a canyon and in the winter the sunlight is pretty limited (lots of trees….) and we do have a lot of ants, which our previous beekeeper combated by putting the hive legs in cans of oil.
The neighbors on one side also had bees with our beekeeper and are obviously ok with the hives. The neighbors on the other side don’t have a great view of our yard, but we had the hives behind a bamboo curtain – and as far as we know they had no idea we had bees and never reported any negatives about bees in the area.
So, if you are looking for a new/extra yard/ecosystem for your bees – let me know. We’d love to host again.

    Hi Laurie,

Would you send me a note at david@buzzedhoneys.com. I have several hives that need a home.

I’d like to get a little more information about your yard.

    Best wishes,
    David

    Laurie,
My wife and I are also interested in your offer to host our 2 hives. We are fairly new beekeepers and have our hives in a not so idea location, I know this message is several months after you posted, but let us know if land is still available, we will shower you with jam, chicken eggs and of course honey
