Seeking Mentor Highland Park area

Hi – I’m looking for someone to help me get started with beekeeping. Location is Highland Park off of York Blvd. Eagle Rock and South Pasadena are nearby if anyone has experience in those areas. So far I have read the Honey Love book and attended 1 workshop but have no hands on experience. Interested in attracting a local feral colony and based on the size of our lot can have 1-2 hives. Timeframe is not urgent, but I would like to get started this spring. I plan on checking out one of the sanctuary visits in the future but would like to find someone that can work with me one on one, evaluate site placement, and help answer questions that arise. Please let me know if you are in the neighborhood and interested in helping out.
