Home › Forums › HoneyLove Forum › new in the area, would like to have a beehive.
Good afternoon,
I am a new comer to South Bay and to California. I recently bought a house in Redondo Beach with a fair size back yard with fruit trees, vegetable garden etc.; I would like to place a beehive at the edge of the property as soon as possible. Could you please let me know if anyone in the area has bees and where is the nearest store to get supplies (kit) including bees. Perhaps you could guide me on the process.
Thank you very much.
Bernard.
Hi Bernard—I live near you in Manhattan Beach. You are lucky! Last year, we BackwardsBeekeepers and HoneyLove club members got the city council to change the codes governing beekeeping, and it is legal now in RB.
I will talk with you about how to go about this, but I need a phone number. I am at 310-374-4779 if you want to call me Susan
Good afternoon Susan,
Thank you so very much for taking the time to contact me.
I will call you in a few moments however, you can call me if you want on my cellphone at: (702)401-2257.
Again, many thanks.
Sincerely,
Bernard.
