Tagged: hosting bees, land for bees
We are moving to Redondo Beach in June into a family house, and although it is legal to keep a hive there, and I was going about getting a permit, my dad has since changed his mind about allowing us to keep our hive on the property. So, a long story short is, we need to find a place for our hive.
We are wondering if anyone in the LA area would be open to us keeping our hive on their property, but we would maintain it. We would prefer to not give up our hive if it’s possible. If you or anyone you know is open to helping us out, could you email me? briewalter[@]icloud[dot]com or call 213-400-7192.
We are only allowed to live in the house for up to two years, so we are hoping it would be a temporary housing of our bees if that matters in the equation. It is only one hive colony, medium boxes. Any suggestions or leads would be helpful.
Thanks!
Brie
