"Buzz on Birds and Bees" in Easy Reader

Great article in the March 27th edition of the Easy Reader (local paper for the beach cities of Hermosa, Manhattan and Redondo). “Buzz on Birds and Bees: Urban Farmers in Torrance urge city officials to allow hens and hives in backyards.” The article is on the effort to get chicken and/or beekeeping allowed in the city of Torrance. I couldn’t find the article on-line but I have sent an email to the reporter asking her for a softcopy or link to it. A very educational and positive article. Get a hard copy if you can. There is an accompanying question that people can respond to. “Should Torrance allow chickens and beekeeping on residential property? Send your letter to mnicolai@losangelesregister.com along with your full name and city of residence and it may be published in the next Easy Reader.” The reporter’s name is Megan Nicolai and she is a staff reporter.
