I have a cutout from an attic. I don’t feel comfortable using a lit smoker because of the dusty and cramped conditions. Has anyone tried using liquid smoke. Sugar and vanilla don’t seem to be enough. The first half of the hive was not that much fun to remove and I’m not looking forward to the other half! – roberta
Haven’t used liquid smoke but am curious what you learn. Keep us posted.
Hi Robert and Rob……
I’ve been using liquid smoke for a few years, for inspections, cutouts, etc. Works like a charm, just like smoke, but without the hassle of firing up the smoker, or the possible danger in flammable conditions. I have a few small packets of the concentrated smoke liquid that I bought from the beekeeper up north. I’ll try to remember to bring them to the next LBBC meeting.

Roberta, did you try the liquid smoke yet? How did it work?
Hi Dick,
Do you happen to have a brand name? When I look up liquid smoke, the only thing that comes up is BBQ sauce.
