Home › Forums › Bulletin Board › 2 Top-Bar Hives and 1 Medium Langstroth
Hello Everyone,
While it kills me to do so we need to start getting our house ready for sale and I need to put my bee hives up for sale.
I have one top-bar hive in great condition with a good strong colony that was started from a swarm about a year and a half ago. I inspect about every two weeks and the hive is filling up quickly. $150
I have one smaller top-bar hive that is empty. $50
I have one medium langstroth box (new) with a small colony. I rescued this colony using a trap-out and everything was going well until ants hit the box and some of the colony took off. When I saw the problem I brought the box home not sure I if I had the queen or not. Upon later inspection I did have the queen but the colony was pretty small so I added some more bees and started feeding them. I brought them back and added bees about two (maybe three) months ago and they are still small but the queen is in there, there is a small amount of brood and I see nectar in the comb. So they may still need some nursing. $50
To get an idea what the top-bar’s look like you can see pictures on my site at http://www.nineproductions.com/beecam/
Hey Andrew,
I am interested in buying the hives and would host them at a honeybee sanctuary where you could still visit them if you wished. Please let me know your phone number and email.
Thanks,
