Urbanization Increases Pathogen Pressure on Feral and Managed Honey Bees
Elsa Youngsteadt, R. Holden Appler, Margarita M. López-Uribe, David R. Tarpy, Steven D. Frank

I found a careful reading of this investigation to have some prejudged attitudes that were not accounted for, and the deductions as to why certain outcomes were observed seemed narrow. This survey is happening in a temperate climate, North Carolina, so some of the modeling of the setup were not at all like what we have here in So Cal. Give it a read. Very interesting. They at least admit that the urban bee immune response under pressure of the pathogens is more pronounced and something worthy of further investigation.
