Obama Administration Condoning Organic Fraud

IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE INTEGRITY OF THE ORGANIC LABEL, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PUSH BACK AGAINST THIS CORPORATE TAKE-OVER OF THE AUTHORITIES REGULATING THE DEFINITION. At the same time the Obama administration is looking the other way — shirking its responsibility to prevent fraud from imports from China, India and other countries, and allowing factory farms with thousands of animals to produce “organic” milk, meat and eggs — the Obama USDA is monkey-wrenching citizen input and oversight.

Please sign this petition (and share it widely). We have one more week to go and we need to raise about 65,000 signatures.

President Obama, and the First Lady, have talked about supporting organics while at the same time his USDA Secretary has betrayed the organic community and rolled out the red carpet for Monsanto, Dow and their new GMOs.

PS: Shenanigans at the White House? When you sign this petition you should get an email confirmation in return. I personally tried to sign it twice before it worked for me (using a third email address at Gmail). My Cornucopia address did not work nor did my normal personal address.
