Harvest Time!

For those of use with mature hives to harvest from, the next few weeks are optimal for exploring our hives for surplus honey! It is important to leave bees with enough to feed themselves through he winter so if your bees haven’t stashed away the equivalent of 8 medium frames of honey for them and the rest for you, leave them what they have.

We are fortunate to have mild winters here in LA, but we must allow our bees to utilize some of their hard work to carry them through. When harvesting use prudence and take what you need, not what you want.
