    I’m supposed to pick up a nuc of bees tomorrow (6/17) in Chatsworth, at 9am. I have a problem, though. My ex-hubby was supposed to help me. I thought the bees would be available two weeks ago, when he could have helped me but he’s in England now. There’s a longer story, which I will be happy to share with any kind soul that can help me unload the nuc from my car (will be in a deep hive box) and put them at their new hive.

    I’m new at this, am 5’3?, and not very strong. I’m not sure I can do this alone. I looked all over the web for some instructional video, to no avail. I came upon this site, and am thrilled there is a support group nearby. I just became a member, and would like to become more involved but for now is there anybody out there that can help me? I don’t want to endanger my new bees OR myself!!

    Hi Claudia,
    You’ll do great! I am working tomorrow so I can’t help, sorry. I was totally new when I got mine in April and I did find stuff on you tube to help me. If you’re getting them from the Valley Hive, I’m pretty sure they have a video or two on their site also. And they are very nice and can talk you through it too, depending on whose around when you get them. You got this!

    Never mind. I see that you are. The bulletin board is for people looking for a place to keep bees or who have space to host. The Forum is the place to contact other beeks. No need to post on both. Carry on. Good luck with your bees!

    Hi Claudia,
    I know very littl and hope some one who does responds. I had a swarm and hired Ray to move it to Malibu. However, I Iive in Venice and am fairly strong although I’m older than you. I have lots of commitments tomorrow, but would be available to talk and see if an extra pair of hands (maybe gloves) can help. Give me a call and let’s see if I can help you. 310 822 ;9696.
