Home › Forums › Bulletin Board › Insulation – Screened Bottom Board-Varroa
Hello,
We’ve been doing powdered sugar -varroa treatment on our weakened hive (2- 10 fr medium)
for two weeks with some success.
Question is now with falling temps, is it better to continue and keep screened bottom board or
best to just replace with solid bottom board and
let the bees try to fight the varroa on their own…?
Is there a way to insulate the screened bottom board so we can continue
with sugar-varroa treatment? Should this continue weekly with the
colder weather or how ofterndo you recommend dusting?
Thank you
I use Oxalic Acid vapor, I have zero issues with mites.
