    Has anyone tried the inner view inner covers ?

    Not I. Never quite got the idea why they are needed.

    Not necessarily a need

    But the bees seem to not be disturbed or even aware that they are being observed, and so remain undisturbed. One can see Small Hive Beatle or inspect the bees so closely as to see mites on the bees.

    Showing your hive to none beekeepers is another advantage ?

    It is a $40 option.
