    Hello fellow beekeepers,

Hope you are all safe and well.

Had a feral hive move into our hive box a few months back and two weeks ago they suffered
mass death inside and outside the box. We suspected the neighbor’s kid –our yard is not fenced in–
and/or his mom had a hand in the massacre.

However, we replaced the hive two days ago — they were kindly delivered in their own hive box (so
that no prior contamination would be possible) and to our HORROR, it’s happening again.

I checked with Inspector Reyes and he said, LA County hasn’t sprayed …

Are there other beekeepers in the area experiencing the same and for those who
have experienced poisoning, how did you handle it..

It’s not enough to eye warily folks without masks, now feels like everyone within
3 mile radius is using pesticides!!!

    Sigh…

Last but not least, is there a way to hold monthly meetings online? Be nice…

Thanks for reading and hope to hear back soon..

    Jennifer

My hive is monitored using an Arlo camera that also sends alerts to my phone. It has a limited range but is runs on batteries. Costco sells them.
