Hive not producing honey

We got a hive last year in April and we’re struggling to figure out what is going on, or if we’re just being impatient. The hive was pretty active and then a few months in, it split we weren’t sure if there was a Queen but it seems like there must be – they made one. They have built two boxes worth of comb (cross comb so hard to really see what is going on) but haven’t really done anything. They got a few hive beetles, seemed we solved pretty quickly. We’re new to keeping bees & in El Sereno hills. Have so many thought / fears / ahh — we want our bees to be happy and to have some honey. 🙂

Also wanting another hive – thoughts on where to get?
